The awareness regarding depleting natural resources and its impact on the green planet is a topic we all are familiar with and since its requirement has become a necessity, sustainable approach is being applied and improvised in almost all fields relating the human kind. From architecture, to agriculture and from transportation to electricity everywhere sustainable options are being considered for the dreadful climatic changes taking place. Hence, in this piece I would like to introduce to sustainable fashion methods and techniques in terms of production material or usage.
Sustainable fashion can be adapted in a number of ways such as recycling, reusing, or manufacturing quality goods to increase their longevity, or donation. One of these sustainable options can also be to use eco friendly or waste material for the production of fabric, which I have personally adapted and created most of my looks with. This particular look is made of a jute material fabric purchased from Jharcraft which supports a large number of population in Jharkhand for handmade goods and products including clothes. This beige colour with black illusion print was an instant reminder of Indian fusion silver accessories such as the one I am wearing in the picture.
Sustainable Living can be achieved by small changes in our lifestyles which would contribute towards the planet on a larger scale. Hence, let this Earth Day be a reminder to make those small changes.
